About Me
I have always been drawn to the power of storytelling and have nurtured this passion through my BA (Hons) in English Literature and MA in Creative Writing from the University of Exeter, achieving a Distinction for the latter as well as earning two Dean’s Commendations for each of my degrees. While I have experience in writing short fiction and creative non-fiction, I specialise in screenwriting, for which my scripts have received nominations for multiple international film festivals, including the Manchester Film Festival and the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards.
For the past five years, I have worked as a private English tutor, with most of. my students being GCSE and A-Level candidates. As a student myself, I was fortunate to have exceptional teachers and tutors who not only instilled their enthusiasm for the subject in me but also gave me the confidence needed to reach my full potential. These principles form the foundation of my tutoring, and it is vital to me that students feel they are acquiring valuable skills and knowledge that will serve themg and after the Covid-19 pandemic, I have sought to provide stability and reassurance to students, given the unprecedented disruption to their education. I feel very fortunate to have supported them in achieving, and often exceeding, their target grades.
